Spurs first game back after the their festive break ended in disappointment as they were heavily beaten in this friendly. Spurs went ahead in the match after Stubbs long pass found Rutherford who raced through on goal & finished well. Mcintosh had a chance to score a second for Spurs moments later but the keeper made a double save to deny him. Kennoway gradually took control of the game creating several chances with their quick passing & movement, & leveled the score after the ball was scrambled into the net after a corner. Spurs players were off the pace & seemed second to most balls as Kennoway looked the hungrier & livlier team. Poor marking in midfield from the home side let Kennoway in to score their second, but Spurs hit back in the last period to level the match with Stubbs hitting a drive into the top corner from just inside the box. Kennoway soon regained the lead with fine individual goal, but spurs will wonder how the Kennoway striker managed to beat three defenders in the box then find the top corner from a tight angle. Kennoway were now breaking forward with some ease as the home team seemd to give up without a fight. Kennoway made it four with a penalty after a Mcintosh push in the box. A fifth & sixth goal followed for Kennoway & it could have been more but for four great stops from Barclay. Spurs must now pick themselves up for a Fife cup tie at Dunfermline next week, but will have to show more fight & desire to take anything out of the game.
