A good league win for the spurs at home, scoring six goals & looking comfortable in defence. Right from the start of the match spurs were on the attack, Mcintosh having the first chance but his left foot shot was held by the keeper. Minutes later spurs made the breakthrough, Rutherfords good run took him to the bye line where he whipped in a great cross for Mcintosh who netted with a left foot shot. Spurs made it two after a Morrison cross found Murray in the box, & he showed great skill as he brought the ball down with his chest & hit a right foot volley into the net. Any attack from Lochleven was snuffed out by spurs back line of Herd, Leitch, Gay, & Stubbs. In the second period spurs went three up with a well worked goal, Stubbs started the move with a pass out wide to Morrison who beat his marker & sent in a delightful cross to the back post for Thaw to nod the ball home. Davidson scored his first goal for spurs with a crisp low shot into the bottom corner from 16 yards after the ball was cut back from the right. Murray grabbed his second goal of the game when he got a touch to divert a Davidson corner into the net. A great run & cross by Stubbs on the right was headed against the bar by Mcintosh then cleared to safety by a now weary Lochleven defence. Another well taken corner by Rutherford was met by Gay in the box who thundered an unstop able shot high into the roof of the net to complete the scoring. Morrison was unlucky not to get on the score sheet with several efforts on goal & Rutherford went close with an effort that clipped the bar & went over.
