Spurs review 2009

Happy new year everyone. Lets take a quick look back over last year.

Jan - Spurs 1st match of the year ended in a 2.0 defeat at Leven as East Fife 95's rode their luck & took their chances in this friendly.
Spurs played just 2 league matches losing both, going down 2.1 to Rothes at home & 5.2 away to Elgin 94's.

Feb - Spurs unbeaten as they fought for a good 4.4 draw away to Cairnyhill , then winning 3.1 at Kirkcaldy Town.

March - Not a good month for Spurs, going down 3.1 at Cupar, before a 3.0 defeat at high flying East Fife, finishing with a 3.1 defeat at Aberdour, not to mention a 2,0 defeat at Cairnyhill.

Apr - A mixed bag as Spurs lost 4.3 at Bayside, before a 2.2 draw at home to East Fife 95's, then a 1.0 win at home against Kirkcaldy town before losing 6.2 at Cupar.

May - Saw Spurs end the season on a high defeating Elgin Star 4.1, then the big match saw the old boys beat Spurs 3.2.

June - Spurs presentation & new coach as Bill Horsburgh takes over the squad.

July - All quiet as everyone enjoys a well deserved rest.

Aug - Spurs lose 5.3 to Kennoway 95's, before winning the 1st league match 4.2 at home to Elgin Star. Sam Boon returns to the club. Spurs lose 5.4 away to Rothes.

Sep - Spurs beat Kirkcaldy Town 5.3. Spurs win their 1st round Scottish cup tie, 3.0 at home to Ferry Athletic. Strollers just edge out Spurs 3.2 at Glenrothes. Spurs Scottish cup ends as Downfield win 3.2 after extra time at St Monans. Spurs players Kevin Murray & Shaun Thomson decide to leave the club.

Oct - Spurs have a great 2.0 home win over Cupar. St Johns win 8.0 at St Monans. Nial Hall rejoin's the club

Nov - A great match ends with Scone grabbing a last min goal to win 3.2 at St Monans. Fife cup 1st round at home & Fair City win 6.1. Revenge for Spurs as they win 4.3 at home against the Strollers. Spurs players Calum Anderson & Sean Beattie decide to leave the club.

Dec - No action as the cold weather sets in.
