A close fought match at St Monans, with a strong wing sweeping across the park making things difficult for both teams. Spurs went ahead in the first period after a good break on the left from Thaw, who fired in a shot, Rutherford was quick to follow up & he made sure of the goal as he smashed the ball into the net. Rothes drew level in the second period after they broke forward & netted. In the final period Rothes scored what proved to be the winner when they scored following a corner. Spurs had a couple of good chances to score in the last five minutes, but could not convert.
