Missed chances cost the spurs in this friendly as they lost by two goals, East Fife scored first from a headed corner which was down to slack marking. Chances followed for spurs, a Rutherford free kick was saved only for Gay to hit the post from the rebound. Thaw made some direct runs into the box, only to be denied by some good saves. Gay had another shot which squirmed past the post. Anderson then put the ball wide of the post after being played in by Thaw. Another fine save by the Fife keeper again denied Thaw. Barclay had to be alert as he made several fine saves. The home team secured the win with a long range shot which found the top corner.
