All three spurs teams that took part in Sunday's 5's tournament gave a very good account of themselves, although the rain dampened things a little, the teams put on a good show, & narrowly missed the later stages of the competition by a single point. The under 13 team started well beating Kelty by 4 goals to 1, with Mcintosh & Dick-marner grabbing 2 goals each. Despite lots of pressure in their next match against Michelin the game ended 0.0. A 2.2 draw against Forfar in their next game with Dick-Marner the scorer. Sadly Brechin city ended spurs hopes with a 5.0 victory in the final group game.

Spurs green's started with a 3.3 draw against Kelty, although taking the lead through Rutherford, Kelty raced to a 3.1 lead, but with only a minute left Rutherford & Stubbs tied the game. Their next match against lochside ended in a 4 - 2 defeat with Rutherford and Stubbs scoring. After a 7 - 1 loss against downfield with Rutherford scoring spurs picked things up with a 2 - 0 victory over Forfar, Rutherford the scorer. In the last game spurs raced to a 3 goal lead against a strong Tayport side with Rutherford 2 and Stubbs scoring although Tayport grabbed 2 late goals spurs beat the tournament favorites.

Spurs blacks had a slow start with Kelty winning 6 - 2 Brown and Wood (pen )scoring. Tayport then beat spurs before they upped their game to beat Forfar 3 - 2 Gay, Thompson & Guthrie the scorers. A defeat from Montrose before spurs won their last game beating Downfield 3 - 2 .
