St Johns gained promotion for next season's division 1 with an emphatic win over St Monans at beveridge park. Spurs had 4 trialists in the squad & were without McIntosh & top scorer Thaw. Spurs had the first glimpse of goal, with Wood clean through but he delayed his shot allowing the keeper to gather. St Johns quickly found their stride & rattled in 4 goals as spurs back line were constantly under pressure. Spurs midfield couldn't get into the game as the home team scored another 4 goals in the second period. Spurs came more into the game in the third period & Thomson scored a consolation goal for spurs, before St Johns replied with another 2 late goals.
