Lochleven won all 3 points with a goal in the dying seconds of the match in this 7 goal thriller at Milnathort. Spurs played some neat passing football & will wonder how they lost this game as they had lots of possession & made enough chances to win several games. Ross Thaw started the goal feast when he headed Davidson's corner in to the top corner. Rutherford was having a field day on the right wing as he terrorised Lochleven every time he got the ball , sending over some terrific crosses. Against the run of play the home team drew level after a defensive mistake the home striker was through on goal & finished well. More chances for spurs followed, but again Lochleven broke quickly up field to score & take the lead. Thaw put spurs back on level terms, when he collected Gay's pass & shot into the net. Thaw then completed his hat-trick, bravely stabbing the ball into the net despite the keepers challenge. Lochleven stuck to their task & with some determined play scored again, poor marking from a corner left a Lochleven player to head the ball home to tie the score at 3.3. With spurs pushing all out for a winner, it was the home side who broke up field to net the winner.

Ross Thaw's hat-trick now gives the midfielder 19 goals

Ged Rutherford's great wing play earned him the man of the match.
