Spurs line up to start game
Spurs started brightly enough in this league match at Cairnyhill, passing the ball & creating several chances. It was spurs who opened the scoring, with Thaw coming in from the left beating a defender & scoring from a narrow angle. Cairnyhill drew level from the penalty spot after Guthrie brought down a Cairny player on the edge of the box. In the second period spurs struggled against the wind & Cairnyhills long ball game. Cairnyhill took the lead & never looked back, scoring a further five goals as spurs failed to compete in key areas of the pitch.
