Both teams played some good football in this friendly at Rosyth, despite the muddy park. The first period remained goalless, with both sides creating chances, in the first minute Inverkeithings keeper made a brave save at the feet of Thaw as he rushed in on goal, Stubbs & Gay had to be alert at the back for Spurs as the home side quickly broke up field on several occasions. The deadlock was broken in the second period when a Stubbs pass released Dignan, & his well timed run saw him through on goal where he scored with a well placed shot. Spurs continued to press & scored their second goal when Mcintosh cut the ball back from the bye line & Thaw was alert to knock the ball into the net. Another great run on goal by Dignan who was brought down just inside the box, Rutherford slammed home the penalty kick with confidence. Inverkeithing managed to pull a goal back with a fine angled shot, & Spurs keeper Barclay had to make two fantastic saves to keep Inverkeithing out. Spurs came close to adding to their tally with shots from Rutherford & Dignan just wide of the mark.
