Spurs poor home form continued after a st johns win left spurs still looking for their first points at the waid. After a scrappy opening st johns opened the scoring with a shot that trundled into the net. Guthries long range effort rattled the bar before st johns scored a second after their striker got past Guthrie & ran through to score. Mcintosh had a great chance to score at the start of the last period but his shot was blocked. Stubbs had came close to scoring with several shots before st johns grabbed a third, stubbs did manage to pull a goal back for spurs, wood played in stubbs who then ran through to score. St johns replied straight away by scoring their fourth after a good run & cross was swept high into the net.
