Spurs were very unlucky to come out of this game empty handed after they outplayed East fife for long periods of the match, but could not turn possession into goals. Spurs started brightly, playing some neat passing football, but could not find the killer pass into the box. East fife used the more direct route to goal, but the spurs back line stood firm. Stubbs, & Thaw were strong in the middle of the park stuffing out any threat. Spurs took the lead with Dignan latching on to the ball in the box & lifting it over the keeper. Spurs had a couple of good chances to extend their lead but the ball went just wide on both occasions. East fife squared the match after slack marking allowed a fife player to drive in the box from a throw & he stabbed the ball home at the second attempt. The fife then scored the winning goal, a fife player had time to tee up a shot from the edge of the box & his drive found the net. Spurs battled to try & draw level, but could not find a way past a packed defence.

played well boys. think if you scored a second goal it might have been a different result.
