Too many mistakes were to prove costly for the spurs in this friendly match against the younger Kennoway side. Spurs did start reasonably well as Kennoway seemed to back off allowing spurs to play most of the first ten minutes in the kennoway half. Spurs created several half chances which were not converted & this was to prove costly as kennoway opened the scoring with their real first attack up the park, a speculative shot was initially held by Barclay in goal but the ball slipped from his grasp & landed in the net. Kennoway made it two after the no 7 was allowed to have a shot from distance & his shot looped over Barclay. Spurs pulled a goal back when Murray headed a Herd cross past the keeper. Kennoway then made it three after a quick break a Kennoway forward skipped past the outstretched barclay to tap the ball home. No scoring in the second period as spurs tried to get back in the game , but could not find the net after a flurry of near misses & fine handling from the keeper. In the final period spurs again pushed forward but could not find a way through, kennoway added a fourth goal in the dying minutes after a slack back pass was intercepted & drilled into the corner of the net.
